Check out what’s coming to Image Hopper in 2024 with sleek new forms, smoother image handling, better accessibility, and more!
This year, we’re committed to giving you regular updates – consider it one of our New Year’s resolutions! Our other resolution is to spend more time reading and less time gaming (we have a lot of gamers on the team). But we’re not too confident about that one. 😄
To kick off 2024, let’s hop right into what’s been happening at HQ over the past few months.
Q3 and Q4 2023 saw the team work hard to ensure that Image Hopper stays in perfect sync with the latest changes in Gravity Forms: the Orbital Theme and Compact View. Gravity Forms’ not-so-new Orbital Theme allows you to control the form styles in the block editor, which Image Hopper now fully supports. The new design looks stunning and is worth a go. The Compact View (introduced in Gravity Forms 2.8) makes it so much easier to manage long forms. You won’t have any hiccups with Image Hopper fields; it fits right in!
For websites accepting a high volume of image submissions, we’ve introduced new file organization features. You can automatically rename newly-uploaded images and change the directory structure. This can greatly improve the way content managers handle vast image libraries. Speaking of names, we’ve improved unicode support in file names, which means image names are now as global as your audience!
For our Gravity PDF users, we’ve got great news! We’ve added better support rendering the Post Image Hopper field. And, of course, we continue to squash bugs, boost security, and improve accessibility across our plugin. One key update was to improve screen reader compatibility, allowing a smoother and more accessible experience for people with visual impairments.
That wraps up our current scoop. As we look forward to 2024, our goal remains the same: to continually evolve Image Hopper, making it even more powerful and user-friendly for everyone. As always, we value your feedback and encourage you to reach out with any questions or suggestions.
